HR.com, the largest network of HR executives, hosted the Global HR Tech Virtual Symposium from September 30 – October 24, 2019. This global virtual event strives to connect HR professionals with solutions and knowledge to maximize their HR potential.
HR professionals from more than fifteen countries had the opportunity to select and attend any of the complimentary webcasts and information sessions throughout the four weeks. Fifty percent of those attending were in a managerial position or higher. Almost half (49%) of attendees were from organizations with more than 1000 employees, from companies such as Unilever, Adidas, Amazon, Apple, AOL, Intel Corporation, NBCUniversal, and more.
HR professionals are constantly striving to keep up with changing labor regulations and evolving HR technologies. The virtual platform gave attendees convenient and cost-effective access to create their own custom schedule of sessions delivered right to their desk. They were able to network with others and gain expert knowledge on the latest best practices relative to them and their organization.
Additionally, HR technology start-up companies presented pitches on each of the Symposium’s “Innovation Mondays.” The winning companies all had the highest intended investment from participants in their competing week, along with the most votes from attendees, rated on applicability and product presentation content. The pitch winners include Enterprise Ireland-backed companies Flextime, Eppione, and WorkVIVO, each recognized as the most innovative start-ups.
“Partnering with HR.com was a great opportunity for our Enterprise Ireland talent companies to gain exposure to a global audience. For three of the companies to win awards in innovation shows how strong the talent tech is that’s being developed in Ireland and that there’s an appetite for new and engaging tech tools to improve the current workforce,” said Hannah Webb, SVP of Talent Technology for Enterprise Ireland.
