Tánaiste Leo Varadkar Visits Taoglas’ San Diego Headquarters

Enterprise Ireland client company, Taoglas is a leading provider of advanced technology for a smarter world. They hosted Tánaiste Leo Varadkar and leaders from Enterprise Ireland as part of his visit to the U.S. West Coast. The event highlights Taoglas’ long history of growth and success in both the U.S. and Ireland, where the company was founded in 2004.  Taoglas provides advanced components and technologies, and they help OEMs, enterprises, and communities to resolve the complexities of bringing digital transformation solutions to market quickly and cost-effectively. 

Taoglas is among the Irish headquartered companies that collectively employ 100,000 people in the U.S., the largest single investor in Ireland. Ireland is also the ninth-largest source of foreign direct investment in the United States. 

As part of the weeklong mission, the Varadkar, Enterprise Ireland CEO Leo Clancy, and other top officials met with Taoglas executives including; Co-CEOs and Co-Founders Dermot O’Shea and Ronan Quinlan. The delegation toured Taoglas’ design and testing facility, engineering lab, US assembly area, and corporate offices. They brought Varadkar through the product line and allowed him to get a hands-on experience with Taoglas’ product portfolio as well as learn about some customer implementation projects showcasing why Taoglas is best-in-class.

Enterprise Ireland’s support of innovative companies like Taoglas is shaping the world’s leading industries, like wireless technologies. Varadkar’s visit to the San Diego Taoglas site recognized the success of Taoglas as well as their globalization.
