Kastus, the world leader in antimicrobial and antiviral screen coverings, has announced a partnership with Global Technology provider Lenovo and their OEM solutions business, one of the top three manufacturers of IT products in the world.
The partnership will see Lenovo offer a bespoke range of commercial antimicrobial and antiviral screen protectors up to 31 inches in diameter, as well as a new line of products with patented Kastus protective coating technology already built into the screens as standard.
Studies have shown Coronavirus can survive on smooth surfaces such as mobile phone screen glass for up to 28 days. By partnering with Kastus, Lenovo’s customers will have access to a proven solution to help protect essential touchscreen appliances and their users against harmful bacteria and viruses, including Coronavirus. Kastus’ light-activated technology never depletes and is environmentally friendly while bacteria and viruses cannot build resistance to it.
This photocatalytic technology has 44 global patents and has been at the forefront of antimicrobial and antiviral surface protection since 2014, offering the ultimate ‘always on’ protection for touchscreen devices. Kastus’ world-leading screen coating technology has been independently proven to be effective against human Coronavirus and up to 99.99% of surface bacteria. Kastus offers solutions for both new screen devices and tempered glass screen protectors which can easily be applied to retrofit and protect existing commercial screens in the field.
Kastus is an Irish-based company supported by Enterprise Ireland. Enterprise Ireland is thrilled to support the Kastus team as they continue to innovate, create, and launch new global partnerships.
Lenovo will provide Kastus screens and screen protectors for both their own devices and industry partners, presenting a significant addressable market. Any screen can be protected, from laptops to self-service restaurant kiosks to medical devices, ensuring the safety of businesses’ consumers and colleagues.
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Lenovo, one of the most significant and innovative providers of IT equipment on the planet. By using Kastus screens Lenovo customers will add their devices to the millions already protected by Kastus, allowing consumers, colleagues, and families to confidently interact with the touchscreens that have become so integral to work and leisure,” said John Browne, CEO, Kastus. “With consumer awareness and demands around enhanced touchscreen protection growing, we look forward to working with the Lenovo team to bring the always-on benefits of the Kastus protective technology to a wider global audience.”
“As Lenovo builds its OEM business, we look for key partnerships that complement our own technology and add significant value for our customers as they build their solutions,” said Craig Arold, COO, Lenovo OEM. “Kastus technology is a great example of first-in-class innovation that meets a critical need in the market. By providing antiviral and anti-microbial capability, our partnership with Kastus will set the pace in helping make touch-screen solutions safer in the market.”
