Coast-to-coast financial technology tour in Atlanta and San Francisco

A delegation of Irish companies is visiting Atlanta and San Francisco Bay Area on a mission to learn about their respective fintech ecosystems and explore partnerships.

Enterprise Ireland-supported companies are embarking on a Coast-to-Coast Financial Technology tour, with multi-day events in Atlanta and San Francisco. The objective of the fintech tour is to support Irish companies who are targeting the financial services and fintech stack to learn about Atlanta and San Francisco area fintech ecosystems as well as develop and accelerate their North American business.

As a global hub for finance technology and investor activity, Ireland is a hotbed of fintech innovation, helping the industry respond to challenges from the digitization of banking to new payments models and ever-changing compliance requirements. Over 250 of the world’s leading financial services firms are operating in Ireland.

“As a major capital investor, Enterprise Ireland invests in the most innovative Irish companies through all stages of their growth,” said Terrence O’Rourke, Chairman, Enterprise Ireland. “A coast-to-coast US tour like this is a great way to showcase Irish companies and connect them to potential international customers.”

Atlanta, Georgia

Atlanta is a global center for money, markets and transactions with fintech in Georgia driving more than $72 billion in annual revenues. Atlanta is also known as the ‘transaction alley’ of the US – 70 percent of all payment card transactions are processed here, and more than half of US financial technology firms are based in the Atlanta area. Topics scheduled for the Atlanta tour include:

  • Doing business in Atlanta
  • Positioning for the US market
  • Regulatory and legislative trends in payments
  • Roundtable discussions with local fintech agencies
  • Atlanta-based company tours

San Francisco, California

Silicon Valley is world renowned as a technology, venture capital, and innovation hub and in recent years has emerged as a key destination for fintech companies. The San Francisco itinerary of the Enterprise Ireland Fintech Tour will provide an opportunity for innovative Irish fintech companies to meet with industry leaders, disruptors, advisers and C-level executives across the financial services sector in the Bay Area as well as deepen their knowledge of the vibrant Fintech ecosystem. Topics scheduled for the San Francisco tour include:
